Not sure if you got a question on this yet - www.deviantart.com/comments/1/… - so I thought I'd poke my nose in. 

So the three basic colors on all shedu cats are tan, brown, and black. All other colors of shedu are modifications on these three.

Anglewing's base coat genotype is - ee/AA/TT

White Flag's base coat genotype is ee/AA/tt

And Remulos' base coat genotype is ee/aa[s]/tt

Tan is always dominant over brown so even a single capital T in the genotype will indicate a tan cat. Brown is dominant over black, so even a single capital A will indicate a brown cat. Black is not dominant over anything and so only shows if there are no capital letters in the base coat geno.

Often in Djibbs, brown will look red because technically red is a shade of brown when it comes to this group's genetics. Newer Djibbs have been standardized so red-looking Djibbs are marked red-brown in their genotypes. For example -

His genotype is ee/A[r]A[r] - you can see the red [r] modifying the brown gene, AA, here. Red pattern or other pattern color modifications look similar. 

There are five colors that patterns can be: Black which is the default color, red which is the next most common, tan, brown, and white.

nB next to the pattern gene (Tb for tabby) for brown. This is a non-standard brown in coloration but I do not actually know of any other brown patterned cats yet.

There are some coat modifiers that can make patterns look different without actually being a colored pattern - champagne which can dilute black markings to a brown shade and silver which affects black hairs on the coat and turns them dark grey to white. My White Flag cat is an example of silver. This guy is a good example of champagne making a black marking look brown.
